Leaf Laughing

The other day the leaves were laughing.

Green and shinning in the summer sun.

 

Today they are not laughing as they did before.

Now that summer is done.

 

There colors have changed to red, yellow and brown.

Falling from the trees by the ton.

 

As I watched one drift into a peculiar pose.

I realized Fall had won.

 

Looking at me with its laughing grin.

Autumn is hear, it has come again.
