D213 'Andania' hammers away from Norwich near Dunston on Saturday 1st March 2025. The Class 40 locomotive leads 'The East Anglian 2' charter from Norwich to Crewe south along the Great Eastern Main Line. The LSL operated service harks back to the introduction of the 'Whistlers' in the late 1950's, when they were introduced on Norwich to London Liverpool Street passenger services. Thankfully the high cloud approaching from the west held off long enough to illuminate the smart BR green and Intercity combination. (Photo taken with pole)
