Sep. 5: Naturally, I was scheduled to moderate an 11:30 a.m. panel in the Sci-Fi & Fantasy Literature Track, "The New Amazons"--a panel I championed, which featured some of my all-time writing girl crushes. My fellow panelists were (from left center to right): Lynn Abbey, Gail Z. Martin, Rob Thurman, a talented and engaging writer whose name I missed (like Rob, she was a late addition and not included in my program--at times like these moderators invite the panelists to introduce themselves) and Elizabeth Moon, who might well be said to be the mother of us all.
