Mi madre no hablaba mucho de sus emociones pero su corazón decía su amor a través de los platitos que nos preparaba. Gracias a ella, asocio la comida con el amor, a este tiempo que dedicas amorosamente a los demás, o a ti mismo, al tiempo que uno pasa para escoger, transformar, presentar, compartirla y que regalas a los seres que quieres. Éste se vuelve así, también, en un acto de amor hacía ti mismo.
My mother would not talk much about her emotions but she'd express her love through the recipes that she cooked for us. Thanks to her, I associate food with love, with the time that you dedicate to others, or to yourself, with that time that you spend for choosing, transforming, presenting, sharing a meal and that you offer to your beloved ones. Therefore, it becomes, at the same time, a act of love toward yourself.
