It looked like being a pretty ordinary morning at the Reedbed Hide, then around midday, this popped out of the reeds on a fairly distant spit running out into the pond in front. It had a leisurely look around for a few minutes, then eventually decided to fly out and across in front of the hide, still at some distance, but great to see, nonetheless.
