Album Description – Mainz, Germany – 03DEC2017:

 

Joe and I rode the train back after visiting the Blachnik family, taking Gertrud to the first "great, big, historic Christmas Market in Babenhausen" and visiting with her and Heinz in their home, getting off the bus around the Mainz cathedral to walk through the Christmas Market on our way to the crew hotel.

 

Joe loves German Christmas Markets and we went to 2 today! And we got to visit our friends the Blachniks in Babenhausen!

 

We heard church bells ringing when we left in the morning for Babenhausen, and ringing again when we returned to Mainz.

 

What a wonderful layover, this snowy First Sunday of Advent.
