Bat Removal in Valparaiso Indiana

This is a short video of bat exclusion in Valparaiso IN. We were hired after another company failed to get rid of the bats as promised. The bats had been there a while. You can see the urine stains on the shingles. We waited until after August 15th to initiate the bat exclusion to prevent harm to any non-flight young that may have been there.

Most of the time bats are not active in the day so this was really fun to watch. The bats were living under a porch on a log home. A couple of bats flew away when I was climbing up under there. There are another about dozen bats behind the bat cones that hunkered down while I set up the bat cones (you can see a bat in the cone on the left at 2:27). Shortly after I finished this bat that flew away came back and tried to get back in but was unable - the bat cone worked exactly as advertised.

No bats were harmed with our methods. They may have been if I threw a glove on and started grabbing them. The rest of the bats flew out that night. When I went back a couple of days later all the bats were gone. We took down the bat cones and sealed up the areas behind the cones.

The reason the bat cones work is because of the way the bat is made. Because bats crawl and aren't able to stand on their back feet they can't reach the entrance of the cone. There’s nothing special or mechanical about the cone. It only exploits the bats anatomy to come to an outcome that all can live with.

Removing bats have high risk of danger and injury; consult a bat removal expert company for the best method to extract them.
