You are a child preparing for Easter, you put on your crisp white outfit then you run out the door as fast as you can because you cannot contain your excitement for hunting Easter eggs and collecting candy.
Then six months later or years later you are getting your black clothing on because there has been a death, and then you walk out the door as slow as possible because you are dreading the uneasiness.
The contrast between the white and black of the dresses depicts life and death. Then the size of each dress symbolizes how age does not define when tragedy or graces happen in one’s life. The cross stitching in between the two photos symbolizes how each memory, whether good or bad, is interconnected.
