San Francesco in Assisi
Die Basilika San Francesco Italien und die Piazza San Francesco in Assisi. Sie ist die Grablegungskirche des heiligen Franziskus von Assisi und gehört seit 1980 zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.
Die Basilika ist in Ober- und Unterkirche mit bedeutenden Malereien des Spätmittelalters, unter anderem des Giotto di Bondone und Pietro Lorenzetti geschmückt. In San Francesco finden sich sowohl der romanische als auch der gotische Baustil.
Um den Platz und die Basilika ohne Menschenmassen zu fotografieren habe ich mich um kurz vor 6 Uhr auf den Weg zur Basilika gemacht. Zu dieser Zeit schläft die Stadt noch. Auf dem 20-minütigen Fußmarsch ist mir in der ganzen Stadt niemand begegnet.
Das Panorama wurde aus 5 Einzelbildern erstellt, die morgens zur blauen Stunde aufgenommen wurden (24 mm, Blende 11, 6s, ISO 100).

The upper and lower churches of the basilica are decorated with important paintings from the late Middle Ages, including those by Giotto di Bondone and Pietro Lorenzetti. Both Romanesque and Gothic styles can be found in San Francesco.
To photograph the Piazza and the Basilica without the crowds, I made my way to the basilica shortly before 6 a.m. At this time the city is still asleep. On the 20-minute walk I met no one in the whole city.
The panorama was created from 5 individual images that were taken in the morning at the blue hour (24 mm, aperture 11, 6s, ISO 100).
