Sleepless Knight and the Killing Moon

I've walked many miles

Faced many trials

Keep my faith

like a blind child's smile

I will not be...

Consumed

THUMP... THUMP... THUMP...

I feel the light

Though it's not in sight

She often cries,

"Where are you those sleepless knights?"

Somewhere beyond the pines

A woman whose leapt

through sour times

Smoking cigarettes

under the killing moon

and she looks just like you...

... Thump ...Thump ...Thump

I fight and fight

I fight to be right by your side

I bear this armor to be your knight

but since enemies tend to be

next to me with an axe to grind

I guess I might have a type

It's true and I always fall

for what you do...

...thump ...thu...thump...

Wandering stars

pondering who we are

Just light dying in the dark

to the riffs of Ventures guitars

I will not be...

...consumed...

Heavy the crown

I the King of Sorrow

Shall I repay time borrowed

with forfeiture of tomorrow?

Structures crumble

under desires most carnal

My soul follows suit

and the hole left by you

echoes a heart once troubled

In your lies I see the truth...

Wanderlust until dust

No honor when on a rush

Love don't haunt her much

Just something to fill her cup

Just give me something

to numb my husk

I have nothing else left to lose

but you...

THUM...THA..THUM...THUM...

Conned souls of the consoled

A warmth thought forever close

but she rather be a loan...

So where are you those sleepless knights?

Can't sleep when your dead inside

It's true... But so are you...
