The painting was made for a group exhibition at Stockholm's Cultural house. It is part of a series of four other similar pieces made with aquarelle watercolours and pencils. In the painting I focused on the dress, and the woman’s facial expression and body language. Therefore, I choose to have a block colour as the background. In order to make the painting interesting and avoid making it flat I experimented with different angles and expressions. As well as, light and contrast colours to make it more intense.
