Red-bellied Woodpecker female DSC_1022

Philomena (Red-bellied Woodpecker) has been hanging out regularly. She has been visiting the little swing feeder from time to time and loves to take seeds and nuts back to this spot on oak two do eat. I have not seen Phil for a while.

It is rare to see both a male and female red-bellied woody in the yard at the same time. They are usually only together when they are working on a family.

I am happy to have them visit when they want. It's always nice to see them.

Have a wonderful day and happy snapping.
