Can't hide your lion eyes
As mentioned in the last posted lion image, I planned to share a random loin shot from my post Thanksgiving, Busch Gardens trip. So ta-da, here is a random lion image from that trip.
I might get a little too excited as I approach the lion’s habitat when he is awake. I know this because I can feel the silly grin on my face as my eyes widen and my heart flutters. During this encounter, his majesty was acting coy while he sat under the shade tree looking regal.
As I photographed him, he would glance at me with his beautiful eyes, and then glance away. Sweetheart, I mean Majesty, you can’t hide those lion eyes from me. Not at this distance anyway. I am guessing he was about 50ish feet away and I have a zoom lens.
What a treat, so much for being bashful; Suddenly he sprung to his feet and leaped merrily about the habitat. Shy, really Majesty? Show off was more like it. I was delightfully taken by surprise by his actions and forgot to click for most of that playful time. Then again some of those shots would have been simply of his behind. Nobody wants to see a close up of a lions rump, or at least I wouldn’t think so. Before moving on I did manage to get a couple more somewhat amusing shots and will post them randomly at a later date.
I’m thinking I should put a safari trip on my bucket list. As excited as I am to see an alert lion in a zoo habitat, I can only imagine how amazing a wild lion encounter would be.
Technically, I have not started a bucket list as of yet but I'm not getting any younger so perhaps it's time to get busy creating one and checking things off. I am curious; do you have a bucket list? If so, what are a couple of must-do adventures you have on yours?
I hope you have a wacky, wonderful Wednesday. Happy snapping!
