Calling the Green Fairy DSC_9001
This beverage is not for me but it is pretty to make. Unless you are a fan of licorice and crazy dreams then it's probably not for you either. In this image the Green Fairy is about to be called by adding the cold water to the glass that already has Absinthe and a sugar cube. As the cold water mixes with the alcohol, the Fairy begins to dance. Perhaps one of these days I will video this action but there are several youtube videos available for those that want to see the action now.
When the Fairy completes her dance, the beverage is ready to be consumed. If you are seeing Green Fairies prior to sipping this beverage, imagine what you will see after :)
Recipe: 1.5 oz Absinthe
1 sugar cube
Cold water
Absinthe has an interesting history and is well described by Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absinthe
