Bluebird at the nest box DSC_7217
This is an image of Anastasia (Eastern bluebird) trying to coax her little ones to leave the nest. She would stick her head in the box with food in her beak then pull back as the little ones tried to get the food. It took a while but she finally convinced them it was okay.
Yesterday was the one week mark from the fledge, Anastasia and Christian are checking out the box again so I believe they are getting ready for round two.
What's funny is that I have had empty nest syndrome since the little ones left the box, probably because I never got to see them at all after fledge day. I can hear them though :)
