Grotto
Lightpainting is like a drug to me, If I don't get my fix I start to show signs of withdrawal, grumpiness, generally irritable, scratching my arms, that type of thing. I was like that last night, thinking "where could I go? what could I shoot? what's the weather like? its raining, so I need to be inside. The Grotto? I haven't shot there yet and now I can, the wettest part of the journey will be the walk to the location"
So off I went.
I set up the BLS before I got there so it would be a case of in and out asap. Not that I have ever got caught there. Just a quick hit, It takes roughly an hour to get there and when I go to places like this, later is better.
luckily the rain stopped as I got out of the car and the fullish moon lit my walk, past the Temple of Apollo and the Pantheon. Tripod setup, 14mm on, iso, focus, countdown timer, trigger camera and off we go. Lit with the Back light Scanner provided by L.A.C.E, I have a few more ideas for this location but I grabbed the shots I wanted for now and packed up and headed home.
