Broadway Motors has been in this location since 1957 and in the Streetview era has had a BP branded forecourt. Earlier on, and certainly when it opened, it was branded Shell, as seen in the older image in the two image gallery here

It seems pretty clear looking at the overall style of the showroom fascia boards that it was once a Ford dealership.
It would seem developers are very keen on this site, but so far have not persuaded the owner to sell. It's a pretty large site so one can understand the attractiveness for turning it into a supermarket or a care home, but glad that it stubbornly remains as a garage and petrol station.
