Ian Calvert drew my attention to this garage when he posted it back in February, so I felt I needed to go there myself and get my own photos! The garage here has lost some of its original character with the modernisation it has seen in the last decade, the new pumps just looking too modern to really allow this to appear a "timeless scene" but it does still have an open forecourt. It's been independent for some time now but it's clear looking at early Streetview images that the last brand it carried was Rix.
Searching around on the internet it's clear it was a National branded site back in the 1960s and probably into the 1970s, maybe even the 1980s. See here

Other aspects I have found out include the incredible gallery on their own Facebook page where they detail all kinds of vehicle disasters they have sent recovery trucks to, it's an amazing set of photos stretching into the hundreds! Their cover image shows this garage when it has the older pumps with Rix livery on them.

In the comments on Ian's photos, Chris Greene has said that the garage was supplied by Elf at the end of the 1980s into the 1990s which ties in nicely with when BP withdrew National as a brand.
However, since Elf as a brand went more or less at the turn of the century, one wonders what brand it carried in the early part of the 2000s. Maybe it went straight to Rix.
