Butler - Fenside Road, Toynton All Saints, Spilsby, Lincolnshire PE23 5DB 1995
About three weeks ago Ian Calvert uploaded a photo recently taken of this garage. At the time I thought I had a photo of it, but it didn't show up in a search of my posted images. That was because I hadn't yet uploaded it, so here it is!
As can clearly be seen here, this had been a Rix branded site, the logo on the Avery Hardoll pumps is clear. That suggests it had only recently changed to Butler as its supplier. Ian said he thought Rix was the last brand sold here, and I'm sure it's perfectly possible that after a few years with Butler it went back to being supplied by Rix. One way or another, by the time the first Streetview was taken here in 2009, fuel sales had ended, and probably a few years earlier. Also of note are the two Morris Minor's, the right hand one looking to be a rare pick up version, and even rarer still to have an amber warning light on the cab.
The location here is pretty remote, Toynton Fenside is just south of Toynton All Saints, and both are on a minor road, seemingly one with no classification, so it's no surprise fuel sales ended.
