Gulf Logo and Pole Sign 21st March 1986
This is an old Sunday Telegraph press image and I'm guessing it must have been about a story on fuel prices, the imminent change to unleaded petrol, conversion to metric or something to do with the Gulf brand. It's a bit early for their downstream UK sale to Shell, that came a few years later, so I don't really know what, if anything, would have made a story about Gulf then.
No indication as to where this was taken either, but generally national press outlet images were taken in the London area. Back in 1986 there would have been plenty more choices than there are now.
