Here's a relatively rare view of a garage under Pool, and therefore rationing. It's four years after the war ended, but still another four years to wait for petrol brands to reappear. Here in 1949 the premises is run by Mawsons, Morris dealers; by the 1960s it was Angus Skipton Ltd, selling Shell petrol which can be seen below, first comment. The garage eventually closed entirely and in the present day it is now a coffee shop.
The two left hand pumps are signed as private, the two right hand ones seem to have omega on the signs, can't work out what that might mean.
