BP - Breakspear Way, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire HP2 4TZ 2

The BP site seen here in about 1990 is still a BP site as seen below in my 2018 image. It hasn't changed much at all. The plants have grown a bit more but that's the only big visual change. Yes, the BP livery has changed since then and the price of petrol has quadrupled but it's instantly recognisable. Of the vehicles on the forecourt the MG stands out but the Transit is not British, (German maybe?) and in the background a lorry delivering Bowyers produce, best known for sausages.

Amazingly my 2018 photo was from pretty much this exact same angle. There is a big Shell forecourt nearly opposite this one and they are either side of the main route into Hemel Hempstead from the M1.

I do wonder if the site here was more or less brand new in 1990 and that's why this photo was being taken.
