Little David - Eaves Garage, Polstead Street, Stoke-by-Nayland, Suffolk CO6 4SA March 1993 2

Here's another view of Eaves Garage in Stoke by Nayland from its days as a Ford dealership and selling Little David petrol. The Merecedes rather dominates the shot but beyond is the forecourt with its row of Veeder Root pumps and in the distance the Ford sign which still stands in the present day, if modified now so the Ford logo doesn't show. Their long association with Ford ended about eight years ago, as Ford seemingly dropped many more rural dealers. At least that didn't stop the garage from surviving. In more recent times the brand sold here changed to Gulf by the earliest Streetview shot. Whether or not they sold Butler in between is not known but it seems likely. By the time that first Streetview shot had been taken, the pumps had been replaced with Gilbarco Highlines, and a couple of years later when the brand sold changed again to Pace, the Gilbarco Highlines were replaced with one modern multi fuel pump.

Below you can see a rather gloomy more recent photo of the forecourt when selling Pace taken in 2020.
