Some years ago the Lord Nelson public house was part demolished and re-built, now called The Maple and more of a coffee shop and supermarket now with beauty salon, certainly not a pub anymore! This Esso forecourt was newly built adjacent to it using much of the land of the car park of the old public house. The outcome won an award!
