Ex Texaco - Camel Hill, Queen Camel, Somerset BA22 7PH 4
This service area was Shell branded for quite some time but in April 2019 it was in transition to Texaco with a sign up saying under new management. That clearly didn't go too well as within a few years we now see this. The site is listed as temporarily closed, but it's looked like this for a year or so. I do wonder if the extensive dualling of the A303 has forced the temporary closure, or if it is permanent. Given there is the Sparkford services just a stone's throw down the road from here, featured yesterday, it's hard to see any meaningful revival of this site in the future. I do have photos of it as both Shell and in transition to Texaco, which I will add below but they are both terrible! In this image there is clear evidence that it was once Shell branded.
