This place has undergone a radical transformation in recent years. Until about 2021 it had an open forecourt with older style pumps but the forecourt was re-jigged, a canopy and newer pumps were added and the main building was demolished and a new one built in a new location to the side of the forecourt rather than the back. The forecourt is now pay at the pump 24 hour, and on a Sunday the shop was closed so I used the automatic service which worked very well. I do though prefer it how it looked in 2018, see below.
Earlier on in time the garage was fully independent with fuel sold under the Turnpike name which can be seen in Richard's photo added below, and the earliest Streetview gives obvious clues that the garage here once sold Q8 petrol.
