Pace - G Hamson Garage, Brixworth, Northamptonshire 10
An update on this rural small garage in Brixworth. The last older pumps have now gone and been replaced with a single modern unit which is a bit of a shame, takes a bit of the character away, but at least there are Pace logos on the pumps, rare for this model, they are normally left in a plain metal finish.
The garage here has existed for many years and had been branded Esso in the 1960's and into the 1970's, then Burmah for quite a while, then UK and more recently Gulf and now Pace. The owner of the premises has been kind enough to post photos of all of these changes on their Google listing which you can see if you pop "G Hamson Brixworth" into the Google search. The UK shot shows how the premises were about to be massively extended compared to the really small building it once was. It's incredible to note that despite all the redevelopment the pump islands have remained in identical positions to how they were in the 1960s!
