Torq - Aviemore, Scottish Highlands 2

I was astonished to find I had never uploaded this image of the garage in Aviemore in the brief period it was branded Torq. I just got lucky that on one of my rare excursions up to Scotland it happened to coincide with this short era where a handful of MRH run sites were unable to get a competitive oil company deal. The Torq branding here and at several other sites only lasted for three or four years between roughly 2014 and 2017. Earlier on this had been an Esso branded site, and its later change to BP in June 2017 coincided with the entire site being demolished and re-built. That moment was captured by Streetview.

There's a feeling that this short lived branding would in say twenty to thirty year's time be seen in much the same way as some other short lived brands of the past which have gained almost mythical status now, for example Van Molen Gasoline.
