Former Petrol Station - Cambridge Motorworks, Wimpole, Cambs 1
Sadly the garage here recently lost its remaining pumps and Power sign, now replaced with a modern looking logo for the car dealer that is here now. The garage here was the very last vestige of Wilshers remaining garage in the area, they used to have several including a service station along the A603 from here, closer to Cambridge which is now a caravan centre, and a garage in Balsham which has entirely disappeared subsequently. All three were once branded Butler, and I know the one in Balsham had been branded Arndale too, so likely that all three were in the first half of the 1990s. This one and the one down the road from here made it as far as being branded Power. Below you can see it as it looked when it was still selling petrol thanks to Chris Greene's image from 2009, Richard's from 2010 and my first one from 2015.
