Murco - Warboys Garage, Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire 6

Much to my delight and surprise, not only was Warboys Garage still open and serving petrol, it was also sporting a change of livery from Gulf to Murco. I actually think this livery suits it very well, the red and white of the pumps contrast nicely with the blue and green of the garage building. Great to see the Gilbarco pumps still standing too, I had a fear they might have been replaced with some more modern model. This garage is a tremendous surviving example of a large village garage and I hope it last for many years to come.

You can see it below as it was when branded Gulf.

The earliest Streetview shot shows the garage as Gulf, but on the frontage of the right hand half there is a white triangle left behind suggesting perhaps Anglo was a previous brand?

It's interesting to note that old pedestal pump that was selling Paraffin perhaps has been slowly butchered over the years, once in the Gulf livery, then painted green and black to sort of hide it, has now had its middle section entirely removed!
