Former Petrol Station - High Street, Rowhedge, Essex CO5 7ET 3 Bulldog
Some time ago I watched a short series of old amateur films of someone driving around this area. In the part when they got to Rowhedge I got really interested when I saw a garage with a Bulldog pole-sign featured, it was a garage I had previously not known anything about. I went on to Streetview to see if anything remained of it and to my amazement saw that the Bulldog sign was still standing. All the blue part of the sign that was once there has faded away, but otherwise it is in fine condition.
There is still activity at the garage, at least, looking at the most recent Streetview there are two people on site and it certainly appears that cars are still repaired here, and possibly a few sold from here too.
The video on Youtube is from 1986 and it looked like the garage was pretty run down even then. There isn't a clear view of the pumps at any point, just a cluttered forecourt and the pole sign when the blue was still there!
Here's that film, watch from about 5.30 minutes in.
