All change here too. This was, only a year ago, a Local Power branded site but is now a Jet site. There seems to have been a pattern at some sites in Sussex of older abandoned or no longer open garages being take over by Local Fuels and running them so successfully that a major then wants to buy them out. It happened on the A27 near Brighton with sites on both sides of the dual carriageway being resurrected into successful fuel stations, only for them to then be sold on to a major, in that case Esso. The Local Power brand had even more recently developed their own distinctive canopy design which is less clear now at this site due to the Jet branding but below you can see it as it was a couple of years ago. They did run into trouble at one site in Selmeston though, when they erected one of these canopies without the correct planning permission and were made to take it back down again!
This site was for a long time George Collins Honda dealership, hadn't sold petrol for a long time and certainly not since the advent of Streetview. Not sure why they left this site, but they do have five other locations in this region so maybe this one wasn't profitable enough.
