Independent - Sargeants, Weald Service Station, Goudhurst, Kent TN17 1DP 5
This is now the only surviving petrol outlet in Goudhurst. Sargents used to have a second site right at the other end of the village but that closed down some years back and was subsequently demolished for new housing, a real shame. The garage here is pretty much unchanged since my last visit. One can easily see that it must have sold Q8 in the past whereas I have my suspicions that the last brand sold at their other garage was Esso, just from the shape of the sign that stood there prior to demolition. That would then suggest that Esso would have also been sold here in the past unless of course back when the other garage was Esso it wasn't under the ownership of Sargents. Looking through all the images of their sites there was clearly a connection to classic cars and it's nice to see on this occasion an MG on the forecourt.
