BP - Central Garage, High Street, James Square, Crieff, Perth, Scotland circa 1970

This is a nice colourful scene with some good examples of cars of the era on show. The garage is rather in the distance but we see enough detail to know it was BP branded, a pump or two are visible too. Also a large sign reading garage. I'm not certain of the red sign below the BP sign, is it an early Vauxhall logo?

Looking at the same building on Streetview we see embossed in the stone it reads "CENTRAL" which suggests to me that this place was known as Central Garage back in the day. It's all gone now of course, the building is currently Diamond Chinese Restaurant and Takeaway. Also impossible to tell from this old postcard but there was a side alley running down the near side of the garage building.

Here's the same vie win the present day.
