Independent - Archways Garage, The Terrace, Spilsby, Lincolnshire PE23 5JH 3
The Archways Garage here has existed for a long time. I have an old postcard of it, well truthfully of the monument to Sir John Franklin but one can see the garage behind. That postcard is at least seventy years old. It showed the garage was then retailing National Benzole, possibly another brand or two as well. I haven't scanned it yet so will have to add that on some future day. Into the Streetview era and the garage here was selling Carlton Fuels earlier on before becoming an independent site. Its been commented that the pumps looked like they were once Rix branded. I got here late in the day, it was much darker than my photo would suggest, and helpfully a van was parked partially blocking the site! Therefore not my best effort! The pumps here are relatively new to the site, Richard has a great photo of it when the pumps were older Gilbarco Highlines, see below.
