Butler - Sandpark Service Station, Kentisbury, Barnstaple, Devon EX31 4NF 1991 3
With Richard having uploaded a recent image of this place, I thought today I'd post the remaining images I have of this now apparently closed garage. Here we see the Sandpark Service Station in the mid period Butler livery. Note the cute mini pump globe as a lighting sign by the entrance to the shop and post office a sit was in this era. It was a Butler site for a long time, all the way through to when it was changed to Power, which was under the control of Total, so still continuity. In Richard's photo it shows the site with just the one dual fuel modern pump which must have been installed fairly recently as my photo from 2017 shows the old pumps seen here still standing. The garage here certainly did get the newer Butler livery as Chris Greene has a photo of it in that era and the only Streetview shows it in the last Butler livery.. Sad to know it has closed but it's also not surprising for such a remote garage.
