Former Petrol Station - West Street Garage, Helpston, Cambridgeshire 3
Ian Calvert has previously posted photos of this place, a now almost entirely derelict site with just the small workshop building still standing and a foot print of the pump island visible. Early Streetview shots show the site was branded Brobot, I think distributors for Jet and the site was totally cleared between 2010 and 2012. It really is a shame that no photo exists of it from 2009 or 2010 as it was a wonderfully retro site back then with Avery Hardoll pedestal pumps surviving well past their expected lifespan, although by then one of them looked in rather a sad state. It also had a tiny attendants kiosk between the pumps. There was almost certainly no fuel sales even in 2009, looks like it must have stopped selling petrol some years earlier. In the early 1990s I played a few gigs in Helpston and most probably would have passed by this garage then but I don't remember anything about it from that era.
I'm guessing the lack of development of the site and it being fenced off might be to do with ground contamination. There's one image of the site on Geograph from 2014 taken by Paul Bryan which shows the site when the kiosk was still standing

However the 2009 Streetview is a much better indicator of how this place once looked
