Mobil - City Motors, 152 London Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 9ED 4th September 1959
Here's another great image of City Motors in Headington, Oxford from even earlier (nine years) than the previous one I had posted. Looks like they had a lady attendant in this era. Although it mentions Bedford on the front of the building I'm pretty sure they were Vauxhall dealers too. Although it isn't obvious, one can see the reflection of the Mobil sign in the window showing at this point the second iteration of the Mobil logo.
On the end of the building at the far end of the site we see an old advert for Bakers Oxford Sectional Bookcase Factory.
Sadly the garage didn't last and in the present day the site is occupied by a Co-op supermarket.
