Sainsbury - Braintree, Essex 1
The Sainsbury forecourt seen here is more or less a standalone outlet. There is a Sainsbury supermarket in Braintree but some 250 yards away from here so this is not at all like the regular onsite forecourts at most supermarkets. In the past this was once a Little David branded site - see below. I can certainly work out that the site must have been demolished and rebuilt at some point in the past to make room for another fuel lane, and I'm certain the small shop area is in a different location. The canopy is also a lot bigger now!
