Former Petrol Station - Thornford Garage, Thornford, Somerset DT9 6QQ 7
This place was also pretty much unchanged from my only previous visit in 2019. The two sad old Veedor Root pumps are still there, looking perhaps slightly more faded than they were, one can hardly make out the UK logo now. At least one of the pumps had been predominantly blue in the earliest Streetview in the livery of Esso's Diesel 2000 when a Powell's coach was partially blocking the view. I'm sure that pump came in s/hand, can't imagine this site was Esso branded in 2000, but it's also hard to imagine an Esso site with Veeder Root pumps so that's a bit of a mystery. It would seem Powells ran a number of coaches back in that era but don't seem to now. It was very quiet here on this day, a Friday, although of course the garage here hasn't sold fuel for quite some time.
