Murco - Scole Engineering, Diss Road, Scole, Norfolk IP21 4DN 9th May 1995

Scole was once, a long time ago, a busy intersection of routes, but in time it was entirely bypassed both north/south and east/west leaving it with no through traffic. Good news for the residents in many ways I'm sure, but less good for the local petrol station. As we can see here, even in 1995 the garage survived, selling Murco petrol in that era. However it wouldn't be many more years before fuel sales ended. By the time of the 2008 Streetview only the canopy remaining showed that petrol had been retailed here. A further insult came just a few years ago when a large BP service area was built on the junction of the meeting of the bypass roads.

Of the cars in shot, nothing very exciting on view, a passing red Corsa and a blue Mark 3 Fiesta turning into the forecourt.
