I was really pleased to see that this one survives still in the present day. It's got so much character, lots of quirky charm. The pumps mounted within the wall and with little stone steps to reach them is I think unique to this site. Then there's the old Texaco sign, still standing after all this time, it's well over thirty years since Texaco changed their logo. I still don't know if fuel is served from here anymore or not, but I really hope it is. It helped from a photography point of view that on this occasion that it was a bright sunny day, last time I came past it was overcast. Brilliant place and one of the best village garages in the country. Almost entirely unchanged since my last visit including the purple flowers on the wall!
