BP - 28 Queen's Road, Craig y Don, Llandudno, Wales LL30 1AZ circa 1970
This is the sort of location for a petrol station that in a modern context would seem so unlikely but in this era roadside small garages like this were pretty common. We don't see much, the hint of a couple of pumps and a small BP sign or two. The overall view is a nice one with a good few period cars on view. The Triumph Herald and Hillman Imp stand out.
The garage is now an antiques and collectibles shop but interesting to see close up in the modern Streetview there's a sign for C&D Autos in the window, I do wonder if that was perhaps the name of this place way back in the past? In the old image it's completely impossible to work out the name of the garage but it certainly wasn't called Manswear! Only the BP service sign stands out otherwise. The same view today is only slightly changed, all the buildings are the same.
