Power - Exbourne, Okehampton, Devon, EX20 3SA 6
This is an amazing survivor with a wonderful array of unusual aspects to appreciate. The gull wing canopy, the mixture of Power and Gulf branding, the older pump in the middle of the grass area, crash barriers around the forecourt entrances, it has a lot of quirky charm. I reckon by the way the canopy is painted that this had been a Butler site before switching to Power. It's the style, not the colour as it had earlier been blue instead of red. The open floor sign looks to be a repurposed Butler one. I also think the Gulf branded pumps must have come in second hand to replace those which had once been Power branded to compliment the rest of the site.
