Shell Pump - Hoops Inn, Horns Cross, Devon 1930s
Just a single Shell pump outside here in the days when hotels had their own mini forecourt for customers. Given its proximity to the village of Horns Cross where there were at least two different garages in the past, and at least one as far back as this, one wonders how necessary it was. Very recently I passed by here and took what I hoped would be a similar photo - see below.
