Shell & Esso - 2-4 Main Street, Ballygawley, Dungannon, Northern Ireland BT70 2HE circa 1975
This is a lovely scene from the early 1970s in Northern Ireland. Plenty of period cars on view and two petrol stations. The nearer and more clearly seen Shell site is still there in the present day, looking very run down and with one seriously vintage pump still standing alongside I think a couple of Dunclares. It was branded Finlay Fuels most recentlly, a brand I have never heard of! The further Esso site is also still there but all the pumps are gone as is the Esso sign - but earlier Streetview shots show the ghostly footprint of an Esso sign on the front of the building.
