Murco - Golden Coast Service Station, Station Road, Woolacombe, Devon EX34 7HH 1
So many of the garages in this area seem to have changed brand in the six years since I was last here and this is another. Most recently branded Power, and before that Butler and Anglo, the Golden Coast Service Station takes its name from the Golden Coast holiday Park which is more or less next door. Still with an open forecourt but considerably smartened up now with the change of brand to Murco, this site seems to go through phases of looking scruffy and then smart again with each change of brand. When it was about to change to Butler from Anglo it also looked really untidy! Looking again at my photos of it when branded Power, the name Power on the sign had been removed so I think it was operating as an independent for some time until signing up to Murco, now MFG's branding for independent garages. On a sunny day it looked great!
