I'd be pretty certain this place sold petrol but probably quite a long time ago. The layout of the site suggests space now used for displaying cars was once a small forecourt. I can't find any hard proof though. There are several drop down kerbs across the site. The still have a proper car wash on site too. Either way the architecture is great and a throwback to the 1960s style of garage design. The stump of a pole sign at one end of the site with what looks like a repurposed price board on it is perhaps the biggest clue.
