Essar - Warminster Road, Monkton Combe, Somerset 7
This garage has been through a few brands over the last decade. I was expecting to see it had previously been either Murco or Texaco as those tend to be the brands converting to Essar in general but I was very interested to see the first branding shown on Streetview in 2009 which is "The Greenfuel Company" with a fairly ridiculous slogan on the canopy edge reading "Save Money and Reduce Pollution" as if driving a car could ever reduce pollution! As a result I am not surprised this did not last! I think they were a one off independent specialising in LPG conversions. Soon after it had switched to Texaco and then later on to Murco before its current branding of Essar. All this is charted on Streetview.
This is a relatively unusual design for an Essar pole sign, only one I have see like this.
