Esso (and Shell in Distance) - Bridge Street, Dollar, Clackmannanshire, Scotland circa 1970
This is a nice colour view of Bridge Street from I am guessing about 1970, maybe 1971 or 1972, by the style, cars on view and petrol branding. The petrol branding is actually quite dated, the distant Shell logo was correct for the era but would soon be replaced with the classic 1970s and 1980s logo and the Esso sign is not quite a relic but not the latest logo. Of course neither garage remains in the present day, they would surely have gone by the 1990s. The site of the Esso garage is now The Bridal Suite shop, but there is clear evidence on the surface outside of footprints of where pumps would have been. Harder to tell where exactly the Shell garage was, looks like it went earlier on in time. The same view in the present day is largely unchanged.
